And it's not even a hard work
Fuck sake I want to become a lazy fat plumber now
Mhmm.
Just charge people for visiting them
That's about standard rate for any skilled trade here
I considered getting involved with flooring a couple of years ago.
It's not what they "take home" thanks to tax and other costs
y is georgian yellow on that <:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>
Given that it costs money and time to go anywhere, it's logical to charge people for going places.
They are a bit darker than white people, but not quite brown
Installed some new flooring in my house, and I just wanted to see what it'd cost in my market, and it would've been about $15k for the day worth of labor I put in.
Georgians have a distinkt skin colour that neither here nor there
Was it made of gold, Jeremy?
🤔
No, it was just wood flooring.
Or are your $ just worthless?
idk man maybe some have
Plumbing is so easy though
This is in the U.S., Eccles.
The fittings are just hollow screws
ye id say its true
We've a shortage of skilled labor.
You put sealant on them and try not to cant them off-kilter, that's all
That's because you're paying each other to serve you coffee
I know this, because the guys who installed my shower fucked it up and now I've got black mold in my bathroom.
It's not a rocket science
also in 1850 it was part of russian empire so yeah theres that
And the wall is literally disintegrating.
Oof
Scrap the minimum wage, for a start
That'd be a good start.
So don't talk shit about plumbers, unless they're the assholes who fucked up my shower.
That's one predominant barrier to entry eliminated.
Welp, I do know how to do things right and what DIN norms apply
I don't mind importing skilled labour, but I want our own folks to be skilled up first rather than sitting on welfare, or serving coffee to self-loathing progressives
So I can at least not fuck up too majorly
I hear ya, Ecc.
DIN norms exist for a reason, and as long as you follow them you are set to not fail too hard
There are always ways to do better of course, and that's what we usually expect from tradesmen
