@Ϻ14ᛟ good quote
@ManAnimal - It wouldn't be too much different from what we have now, except business decisions would take more factors into account and financial transfers would be regularly made to account for externalities in business operation. Social welfare would become a factor too.
All pollution-heavy businesses would begin accounting for healthcare costs in the price of production.
what is a worker or class in a communist system?
Which is why I say fuck socialism
Socialism would also begin moving towards the construction of arcologies.
who knows mananimal
whoever they decide
they want everyone to be the same class
how do you have business under communism?
marxists/communsits at least
and socialism implies that
you don't have businesses
@ManAnimal you don't
I want everyone to be dirty hippies
again, lots of hand waving
exactly random
Bullets go through more if them that way
@ManAnimal - You don't. You just get to be a manager for a state owned business.
Theoretically you could get better managers that way. In practice, government fucks it up.
manager of what?
Tell me, what happens after communism?
a buiness has a 'what' and a 'why; the why is profit
the what is the productor service
none of these exist under communism
so manager of what?
You know its high iq hours when hitler quotes come out
I know what happens after nazis, I know what happens "after" capitalism. But I don't know what happens after communism. What does it evolve to?
Currently, the only way to "own" a business is to have lots of wealth. Theoretically, this is automatically locking out a huge proportion of our population from having any ability to guide the economy, even when they might do a much better job at running things.
A socialist system, in theory, could select the best people regardless of family background. In practice, government bureaucrats are often incompetent fuckwits who have no fucking clue about how to do their job, and they often select people who are just as incompetent as they are.
@Reprehensibletrash mass graves
you can own a buisness for 100usd
I'm of the mind that the cold war (Marxism vs Capitalism) was just an A/B test to find out which was the best method to control the masses.
just file the paperwork
@ManAnimal - I might be better at running Home Depot than the current CEO, but there are so many barriers between me and that CEO position that I might as well try out for the NBA.
Socialism could THEORETICALLY fix that, but government bureaucrats suck at their job. Not in theory. In practice.
but to you point, the busines WORTH owning makes a profit. but that is only p ossible by connecting the means of production with the prodcutive activity
that process requres risk
The ethnic cleansing is really funny to me. Hitler at least tried to exile them, before the French set fire to their beaches
why take said risk under communism?
we haven't gotten to that level yet
again, you want to start with something of value that already exists; home depot
but someone MADEEE that value
