2019-07-16 04:05:58 UTC

and beleif

2019-07-16 04:06:02 UTC

no wrong think

2019-07-16 04:06:05 UTC

@randomNPCno3 - Exactly.

People are bitching about my point of socialism being better in theory, and they don't get that theory doesn't fucking matter worth a god damned thing, if pragmatic limitations render the entire argument a moot point.

2019-07-16 04:06:40 UTC

the problem isn't our understanding it is your data

2019-07-16 04:07:05 UTC

Socialism is better in theory, but that doesn't mean shit.

Pragmatic limitations render capitalism superior to socialism in all real life situations to date, unless you look at a couple of exceptional coops or communes that usually flame out after a short period because the competence was short lived.

2019-07-16 04:07:11 UTC

They're more common in Portland Oregon, than anywhere else I can possibly think of. Yet they're trash. Hippies smoking weed and living off the state. 100% of them

2019-07-16 04:07:23 UTC

if you can't present at least a theoetical design showing how the system could work, how could it work IRL?

2019-07-16 04:07:23 UTC

side note i just got a book that the author killed himself after publishing

2019-07-16 04:07:27 UTC

should be spicy

2019-07-16 04:07:27 UTC

They have real jobs, yes

2019-07-16 04:07:50 UTC

@Arthur Grayborn I think @Reprehensibletrash has caused some confusion, he's muddying the waters because everyone to the left of him is a commie. I thought I was agreeing with you

2019-07-16 04:07:51 UTC

@ManAnimal - I already have. Just shift corporate ownership to the state.

State changes all business decisions to account for external factors.

2019-07-16 04:08:04 UTC

But the actual cost of paying for the rest of the "workers" inflates pretty quickly

2019-07-16 04:08:22 UTC

so just tear apart and reallocate value someone else made

2019-07-16 04:08:30 UTC

@randomNPCno3 no, you moron. I said you keep saying it works in theory

2019-07-16 04:08:37 UTC

Which is hilarious

2019-07-16 04:08:37 UTC

again, not addressing how to CREATE value

2019-07-16 04:08:40 UTC

@ManAnimal - Socialism doesn't mandate economic equality.

2019-07-16 04:08:44 UTC

just allocate other's value

2019-07-16 04:08:53 UTC

@Reprehensibletrash yes, and only in theory

2019-07-16 04:08:56 UTC

Nothing about socialism says one person can't live in a fucking castle while another person lives in a small one bedroom apartment.

2019-07-16 04:09:18 UTC

It doesn't just not work in reality, Marx and Engels themselves state it is impossible to get socialism to function. Third fucking page of the communist manifesto

2019-07-16 04:09:21 UTC

socialsim isn't communism; economy vs governance

2019-07-16 04:09:31 UTC

The fundamental problem to socialism is government competence.

It's such a glaring problem that anyone who understands a thing about government in practice will laugh their ass off when some NEET suggests that socialism will fix everything.

2019-07-16 04:09:41 UTC

There's a reason it's viewed as the eternal revolution

2019-07-16 04:09:43 UTC

@Reprehensibletrash circles can have corners in theory if you never take it off paper

2019-07-16 04:09:45 UTC

i disagree

2019-07-16 04:10:01 UTC

because you can't tell me how socialism would work in terms of ITSELF

2019-07-16 04:10:10 UTC

only can tell me what it is NOT

2019-07-16 04:10:19 UTC

that isnt' a definition

2019-07-16 04:10:25 UTC

@Vir Are you referring to Yukio Mishima?

2019-07-16 04:10:29 UTC

Jesus, you don't get it.

Exactly like capitalism, but the state owns everything.

That's the ONLY fucking difference.

2019-07-16 04:10:32 UTC

@randomNPCno3 boundaries and corners aren't the same thing

2019-07-16 04:10:36 UTC

@ManAnimal socialism is one party control of all revenue streams

2019-07-16 04:10:42 UTC

not exactly like capitalism

2019-07-16 04:11:05 UTC

That way the state can readily reallocate resources and account for externalities in business decisions, because in every decision the state eats all the externalities whether positive or negative.

2019-07-16 04:11:06 UTC

cause it wouldn't be driven by capital interests but by social interests

2019-07-16 04:11:14 UTC

it would be fundamentally different

2019-07-16 04:11:28 UTC

people wouldn't have the same motivation to work for a livng

2019-07-16 04:11:34 UTC

Not currently but I have somewhat read up on that, right now its Carlo Michelstaedter, he partially inspired Evola @Ϻ14ᛟ
