Traced it back to archives in some history of circus museum in USA (can't remember which state, I think it was Tennessee)

And learned about who those people were

That museum website is sadly no more

@Laucivol Mellville family was a successful Equestrian circus venture in USA

They branched off into many US "offshoots" that did it in many US states later on

Possibly encountered when I went to the circus as a kid.. hrmm.

The offspring of those mellvilles may do it to this day
