ye
lmao
Was the same in East Germany; DDR (Deutsches Democratik Republik)
Dance Dance Revolution
Anyone here know, "The Ampleman"?
Pretty sure he drives a Traubi
If you don't mind subtitles, this is a good film to watch. I think it is rather relevant
It's about the fall of the Berlin Wall from the eyes of a guy who's mother was 'the Perfect Communist woman' who falls into a comma before the wall falls
That move is so outlandish to us ~~white niggers~~ Pollacks. No one thought like that over the eastern side of the Oder...
So her son does everything he can in a capitalist world to make her BELEIVE that her world hasn't collapsed for fear she won't be able to take the shock....
kinda funny
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0XCSghpcmI I know you're exited but can you not loudly heckle after every other sentence they say like a jackass
@Tonight at 11 - DOOM, of course the Pollacks didn't think like Ordnung obssessed Germans lol
maybe that's it
Poles are more .. purpose oriented.
like, the DDR had a particularly bad rep for being full of snitches in the Eastern bloc
Geramans are 'goal oriented' and march like drones sometimes
yeah, I know many that are quire fond of certain elements of the DDR
It was a violation what the government in Berlin allowed to happen in the former East with regards to the transition to capitalism
Rich assholes came in from the West, bought everything up and most of the girls/women from the East left for better lives in the West
German males with a traditional loyalty to family and tradition who stayed behind had little prospects
Our national mythology emphasizes freedom within the confines of everyone's private property. The public sphere has a (more or less) clear social order to it, but in private you do what you wanna do. Just as long as u conform in public. At least conform well nuff.
Led to alot of extremism
Makes sense
They feel cheated
Yeah, germans have a similar belief but they have trouble with the 'private' part in regards to not conforming to a norm
Like the dominating hierarchy does not allow them to realistically succeed so a nu one is a better thing to pursue then to try to integrate the old one...
It's that rather Prussian tendancy to think 'who am I to question the rules' that gets them in trouble
but also makes them quite competent
(I should start fewer of my sentences by "like"... I sound like a valley girl, lmao.)
lol
Not questioning the order is good for efficiency
makes sense
also leads you to be blind
to alternatives
you couldn't have an autobahn in america
and ur own faults
Germans strike me as a nation of zealots tbh.
probably not in poland either; following convention and strict rules make sit work
well, more like a nation lacking sound judgement
