3 only had one space battle

in the beginning

at least in the original trilogy they were ripping off good war movies

Yeah thats why I don't like the new trilogy honestly is that they rip off the original one because writing is hard.

afaik its a standard adventure story

he did a great job translating it into space

but its pretty standard fantasy

star wars should just be all the best most useful tropes assembled into one

I keep thinking this more often, scale doesn't matter in a movie
it doesn't matter whether you're saving the whole world or one dog it's about the writing making the stakes matter to the audience
