The first plane would have hit no matter what. Probably the second too, as that was when people started realizing that it was an intentional attack and not just a freak accident. After the grounding of all planes though they could have opened fire, although it would have been REALLY bad PR.

2019-08-07 02:35:15 UTC

as we disovered the other night, you know little regarding such things

2019-08-07 02:35:32 UTC

MA you are the definition of an ignorant nigger tbh.

2019-08-07 02:35:34 UTC

uh huh sure kiddo

2019-08-07 02:35:39 UTC

MA youre mentally retarded

2019-08-07 02:35:40 UTC

incorrect. they did practice drills 4x a week for yrs

2019-08-07 02:36:08 UTC

took no longer than 10 min to scrabble an intercept which was immediately triggered upon violating airspace

2019-08-07 02:36:22 UTC

on 9/11... it took 50 minutes

2019-08-07 02:36:32 UTC

Drills and real life is different.

2019-08-07 02:36:59 UTC

The government is actually pretty impotent.
The difference between terrorist attacks happening and not happening... is the will to commit acts of terrorism.🤷‍♂️

2019-08-07 02:37:08 UTC

Not to mention that they had to fly a quarter of the way up the country.

2019-08-07 02:37:11 UTC

they had such things down to a SCIENCE during the cold war........ intercepting those relatively slow aircraft was childs play

2019-08-07 02:38:23 UTC

incorrect. the airwing responsible is less that 20 min by car

2019-08-07 02:38:23 UTC

so the pentagon is in a major city

2019-08-07 02:38:31 UTC

planes fly around the area all the time

2019-08-07 02:38:32 UTC

a stones throw by air

2019-08-07 02:38:38 UTC

and you expect them to randomly scrample jets

2019-08-07 02:38:42 UTC

read the JTAC docs

2019-08-07 02:38:44 UTC

to shoot down a radom plane

2019-08-07 02:38:46 UTC

one among many

2019-08-07 02:38:49 UTC

They were on the tail of at least one plane, can't remember which one, but IIRC they were given orders not to fire.

Then again, the documentary I'm thinking of came out like, a decade ago, so I'm possibly misremembering things.

2019-08-07 02:38:51 UTC

not 'random'

2019-08-07 02:38:52 UTC

which was cleared for everything

2019-08-07 02:38:58 UTC

by our own airports

2019-08-07 02:39:02 UTC

and air traffic control

2019-08-07 02:39:03 UTC

hostile the MOMENT it enters restricted airspace

2019-08-07 02:39:37 UTC

the air traffic patterns are carefully laid out to keep commerical traffic in very specific lanes

2019-08-07 02:39:47 UTC

espeically around sensitive areas

2019-08-07 02:39:56 UTC

so

2019-08-07 02:40:01 UTC

reagan airport

2019-08-07 02:40:03 UTC

is like

2019-08-07 02:40:05 UTC

right next to

2019-08-07 02:40:07 UTC

the pentagon

2019-08-07 02:40:10 UTC

You do realize they move at like, 700 MPH right? Commercial planes can cross all of NYC in a couple of minutes, much less through the restricted airspace in question.

2019-08-07 02:40:44 UTC

yes, but any plane LANDING at Reagan MUST REDUCE AIRSPEED to avoid overshooting the runway

2019-08-07 02:41:00 UTC

this means if they do NOT, they have time to SHOOT THEM DOWN

2019-08-07 02:41:30 UTC

9/11 truthers are always quick to blame the all powerful and totally competent bush admin but never seem to point out how the attackers had Saudi ties.

2019-08-07 02:41:54 UTC

because their approach vectors (which includes speed) dictates if they are indeed in a particular flight path

2019-08-07 02:42:06 UTC

Your pointing fingers at the wrong govt.

2019-08-07 02:42:06 UTC

it's like a carousel

2019-08-07 02:42:26 UTC

if you miss your approach window, there is a plane behind you... so you have to loop around
