Well we get what you meant now back then @Arthur Grayborn
Why would any self respecting Englishman tie himself to the frogs and autists?
Through unified international pressure.
We're all living in Amerika.. Amerika.. ist Wunderbar
Who's the autists, Germany?
Yes
The kind the EU could provide.
England could easily run a government investment program.
Top 500 computer science and engineering graduates get funding to start their own tech company, and the government will actively help promote it just to break England free from the influence of San Francisco.
After five years the government sells its shares in the company, regardless of current market conditions.
German society is built by autists for autists
EU is like Fourth Reich (lite)
My point is we can't sit here and say we want to support our own tech industries over foreign ones while also asking the US to break out their own industries in the interest of foreign nations against their own interests
What's boris's big tech push, batteries? Or was it solar cells?
automatic hair combs
I'd personally really like to see a push for better batteries, solar is pointless though
Ngl i just want the old wild west internet back. Silicon Valley needs some competitions
Then we punish foreign tech. Prioritise domestic products.
Boris should start with domestic social media companies. Have the government promote a hodge podge of different companies that get founded, and then pray that one of them becomes popular enough to free England from the San Fran bullshit.
Silicon valley needs a 12.5 Earthquake
Nah. If other countries put a serious effort into breaking free from San Fran, that fucked up city will die.
Weez, protectionism isn't the answer the solution is to stimulate competition in other nations
If they don’t break it up, lower their market share through pushing our own products. Likely using subsidies and legislation / regulation.
^
protectionism is always the answer
otherwise you gov has no power
No they need to be beaten
and coparations hold all the cards
Protectionism insulates companies from truly taking risks to compete
Most of the retards on here would be saying “NO GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION!!! Government bad!”
corporations based in othe rlands
Offer guaranteed investment to the top 500 CS graduates in the UK for the next five years, to start their own tech company. Include funding for at least 4 to 5 employees.
Facebook will be dead within 3-4 years, at least within England.
This is true
I’m not sure we’d see Facebook gone.
The only reason why Facebook is used at all is because it's so big
protectionism also prevents companies from selling in markets commeptitively
Why would the normies give a bunch of new kids the time of day lol
Boomers also
unless they play by your rules
But we would dominate the new areas opening up in the digital market
I have planned about a competitor platform to YouTube that is better in everyway but will never have the capital to actually do it
You don't need protectionism. You just need alternatives, and for the government to actively plug those alternatives in the hope that they reach market saturation.
