UN has soldiers deployed in a bunch of countries, mostly in a peacekeeping role to make sure civilians aren't massacred. If one side decides they're gonna do it anyways, though, all they have to do is start attacking U.N. Peacekeepers and the U.N. Peacekeepers will leave.

As long as the African Union, Arab League, Nato, EU, Russia, or China don't give a shit, nothing will happen at that point except a bunch of civilians are gonna get turned into fertilizer.
