I'll watch it in a minute but my first contention without even watching it is that holocaust "deniers" don't call themselves 'deniers' they call themselves revisionist.
The genuine historians never claim to deny the Holocaust but simply refute it's details, such as gas chambers, furher orders, etc.
My contention is less that I'm really sold on any particular narrative of what happened, and more that I'm concerned with how aggressively anyone trying to argue counter to the mainstream narrative is silenced.
YEs it was a video about motives. If you want an actual exhaustive account of where the killing happened and why I would suggest Snyder's *Bloodlands*.
My suspicion, is that there were executions of Jews, probably even on a massive scale. Much of the death was likely due to starvation and disease however, and the gas chambers themselves, particularly their widescale implementation is a highly suspicious detail, as is the mass incineration.
The specific *number* is also highly suspicious, but it's perfectly possible there were indeed millions killed.

I believe it's highly likely certain details which have been enshrined in the official narrative are largely embellishments. Simply what endured after the more fanciful accounts were whittled away.
I also find contention that oh look all the gas chambers are in the area occupied by the soviets after the war. Oh look the so called gas chambers where actually rebuilt by said soviets after the war.
It's also however possible that certain deceptive self-professed survivors are undermining the credibility of the story by making up bullshit. And that for the most part, the core events still occurred.
Even including the gas chambers.
There is some exaggeration on the gas chambers. 6 million is a lot and they had all those slavs, partisans, and gays to kill too. This again comes down to *logistics*. See there were a lot more Jews in Poland and Ukraine than there were in Germany. *logistically* it is quite an effort to transport prisoners to extermination centers. Much more convenient to just round them up and shoot them where you find them. So they developed the Einsatzgruppen to trail behind the army to round up and murder jews along the way.
WW2 was practical a Jewish victory not for the actual reason for its war declaration.
The allies declared war to secure Polish independence. WW2 ends and Polish independence is no where to be seen.
