It is good, because they decided is how I read it
isn;t it what u meant?
No, I just commented on how it happened
ok, so answer my question then
That is both a very complex and very simple social and moral question
I'm not asking for your opinion really
just on why the process of voting on it makes it a good choice
Viewed in a natural understanding sense, it is simple and obv
(which, not that I think about it, might be the harder question actually, lol)
In a *purely* logical sense
It is a nigh infinitely complex question
Because logic is a tool, not a view on life by itself
(in a purely logical sense there is no meaning, just form - logic is a language, if you use language to describe nothing outside of it there is no meaning)
point is
I think your original answer is actually quite telling
The less base assumptions you have when using logic, the more exponentially complex the process becomes
things are (assumed to be) good because ppl vote on them
that is preposterous
No
That just removes context
Also
May I also add
You have no arguments *disproving* the idea of rights
@Hexidecimark This is an example, not the point fam.
Okay so then get an actually good example
There is nothing needing to be disproven
There we go
they don;t exist inherently
you need to justify them
Tradition is the default assumption for everything
before I ever need to disprove anything
If you dont have a valid reason to disprove a tradition
Then the tradition reigns supreme
it does
This ensures that complex and time-consuming processes are not repeated unnecessarily
Because you as an individual cannot solve everything
Even society as a whole may not solve everything in their lifetimes
but 1) Liberalism is a very nu tradition, rather unproven over all 2) that is a practical argument, not really about the correctness of it or lack there of 3) this just confirms my assessment that this is just a believed in way of going about things, not a rational way as it claims to be
You understamd the idea of standing on the shoulders of giants, right?
I do, I don;t see how it helps your argument though
