It seems to be the state pastime
I do like the idea of that pin-code-lock on the gun
But it requires you to literally train to input your pin under stress correctly
God forbid if you had to change that pin code
I'm a safe guy when it comes to firearms, I've got one in my house and in my truck.
Gun locks seem like a gimmick to me.
As a means to stop kids from shooting anone it may be sufficient
Though I was that kid who would open it
Just put the safety on

Nah, the most effective means is to keep the ammunition stored separately

But your kids should know not to touch firearms
Gun is just a harmless mechanism without bullets
Or, better yet, kids should know how much danger a gun poses and that they should never point guns at people unless that is a dire situation

I grew up never touching guns without permission, that's how I was taught and my parents had more firearms around than I do.
I never once touched em.
I'm more paranoid with my kid, my guns live in the safe.
She sees my guns when I have them on me or we are out shooting.
