I have talked with enough Westerners to form an opinion .

This discord is very different from the average westerner

How so?

We have many opinions on many things, very often opposing ones, and we put a lot more effort into understanding politics than the average person

These people LOVE to live in tribes. It's their "culture" to say the least.

Violence and bloodshed doesn't bother them. They thrive under it.

Societies are different and people-diverse. So as Mr. Rosenberg says, and here he is quite right of it, if the level of education/consciousness/awareness of a large enough contingent of your population falls down too dramatically under a certain degree. Well, then, you would be the new Africa.
