And to make sure you don't misrepresent my argument again: I'm talking about public platforms
Hence why I shut down my nephew for his thoughts on why the middle-east is broken
you're creating the scenario we already have just at an early age
If they don't speak, you cannot educate them otherwise
Debate about politics with kids is good, PUBLIC DEBATE about politics is bad for kids
college kids don't know shit and are too afraid to talk about things
they're shamed into agreeing
That's my point!!!
>so we should do the same to children
Public debate about politics is unavoidable for kids. They're going to learn something, present it to other kids, and debate will occur.
No ffs
Presupposing that kids are not human beings is destructively counter-intuitive.
If we simply make sure children do not get a public platform about politics, then we make sure they can't be publicly scrutinized for their political opinions, thus they *will not get shamed*
i don't think you really grasping the implications
shaming can be good
Shaming a kid PUBLICLY is bad
but by sticking things out there people learn
Yes, I agree. Don't give them a public platform to speak, they're clearly too stupid. They don't get to host a damned conference about what daddy told them after a fifth of whiskey, but they can still speak in public.
Kids suffer depression and even kill themselves over social media usage
what if the kid is shamed but knows they are right
yeah but that's just bullying
that happens irl too
Why is anti-Islam equal to nazism? My guess is that the authors are far-left, and Islam is anti-capitalist, and capitalism is "fascism". Hence opposing Islam is "nazi". Because when it comes to Jews (which is define by Jewish genocide) Islam are the nazis.
No it's not "just bullying" ffs
and again it's up to parents
it's literally bullying
Social media usage is destroying kid's self-image
it's extreme bullying but it's still bullying
Oh I hope you don't mean to define someone who is 16 as a "kid" outside of pet-naming.
It's bullying but not "JUST" bullying
It's bullying on steroids
ok so parents should manage their kids better
Naturally
No, because they won't
We know they won't
Presupposition
We have evidence
they did hundreds of years ago without the state telling them to
-1 merit
No that's not a presupposition, it's been researched
