How? I explained why one might be justified in concern about "Catholic interests" or why someone might operate in favor of them. Values, ethnicity, religion, tribe, this all factors into loyalty.

Catholics are less an ethnicity, than Jews. But even then Jews are also multiple ethnicities, which don't always cooperate. The chief actors in the west, as far as I'm aware, tend to be Ashkenazi, but there's also some Sephardic.

You clearly know less about Catholics than you do about Jews then....

Like, 6 years ago I pretty much thought the same thing you did about the Jews. And it took a considerable amount of evidence and persuasion, often from Jews themselves, to understand I was wrong.

None of this looking out for their tribal interests makes them evil. Specific strategies are very destructive and antagonistic. But just caring about your own, and your values, the cultural chauvinism, isn't bad. It was actually sort of necessary to maintain an identity. But that disparity in culture inevitably results in conflict over time, as there's a contest for limited resources, control of laws, etc.
