Jarrod Ramos shot up the offices of a local newspaper, which had previously put out articles about him disparagingly.
now, while it does not occur at a necessarily "public place", ill still list it here because it was a workplace shooting. not exactly a senseless shooting, but a more targeted one
nightclub shooting, check
synagogue shooting, check
santa fe highschool shooting, check
now we have the waffle house shooting
(yes im serious)
20 days before the shooting
he seemed to be paranoid and thought people were after him. he has had a longer history of weird shit being done, since 2017. was also a SOVEREIGN CITIZEN
nobody has any idea why he shot up the waffle house
just think he's crazy
@Miniature Menace Cat Ladies in a nutshell TBH
so i'll checkmark it
high school shooting, check
Odds are, he IS crazy
Not that there's any causation or anything, but a LOT of school-shooters are mentally-ill
its a pretty strong causation tbh
(though I suppose it's not much higher because of those school-shootings in the 19th century that led to like...a total of 20 deaths)
Speaking off
so the carwash shooting was definitely a mass shooting
they were having a domestic dispute
the perp and 5 other men met for a fistfight by the carwash about it
the perp was packing heating and was armored
>fistfight gone worse
oof
the other guys ended up dead
so after analyzing the mother jones list of shootings
and applying the congressional research service's definition
a grand total
OF 6 MASS SHOOTINGS
happened in 2018.
in the US
I hope you're impressed.

tbh, I'd count any where 4 or more were simply shot, not shot and killed
but thats the congressional definition
so
6 shootings, 1 for every 2 months, grand total of 67 fatalities under this definition
