depends on when luci
but it was still hevy
i believe the persians actually did have less access to metals than most
the top tier meme units arent the bulk of an army after all
the persians were in a prime spot for trade
not everyone is wearing plate armour
@Tato In writing probably yeah, but they're so useless in actual combat that I'd be willing to take 5 free hits from a whip no problem before fighting back if I was in a duel
when people dont have metal armor is when curved swords become relevant
@Kealor scale armour
is the tradition
Fuck armor. Anything we make will just get shot through by a pistol
plate armour is late medieval
@Reprehensibletrash thats completely wrong tho
nahk leather whips yes but if u knot metal pieces in them theyre nutts
bullets are desceptively easy to stop
@Reprehensibletrash yeah why didnt people in the 1300 just use guns smh
Shush fednigger
riot shields are pretty light
we make mesh that can stop bullets, then we make actual armor
there is a mesh that stops bullets
@Tato Yeah they hurt like hell, which is why whips are so widespread throughout history. But never as combat weapons.
its k3evlar
@Kealor they did use guns
the issue is that a gun is ridiculously easier to produce than a functional set of armour
the arquebus is pretty old
it doesnt just hurt it has potential of breaking bones
you know what isnt easy to produce
ask the guy that makes IRL 40k power armor
a fully trained soldier
think on that
shit stops 9mm easy
arquebus is like 1500s ish
Hey, I'm just looking to be able to keep my house defended, while war breaks out around me
And my dick has potential of making babies yet none exist
arquebus is way older dude
1500s had actual guns
It's pretty easy to make body armour tbh...
and im not talking about animal whips and just leather whips there were war whips in particular with metal peaces knoted in them
