There is a nurture component in their success
And the proclivity to science is entirely coincidental (unless family is a generation of scientists)

Everyone can grasp scientific concepts

No, the issue is teachers will react as humans to develop interests they understand and can work with and feel confident to be able to help and worth their time to help

Not everyone can correlate them and develope further

academics is the domain of the test

Ye not everyone wants to spend days watching a mould grow

Parents should be paying enough attention to their children to see where interests are and make an effort to enable them to explore their curiosity and imagination

therefore, you can't be certain the test isn't simply geared towards a particular group
