the only problem with getting a CPC today is getting the big ass monitor to work since the Computer power cord and power supply went through the monitor
Apple 2e a) wasn't the same time period, b) not the same price bracket and c) was almost non-existent outside of North America

mac used to be good untill about the late 2000s
CPC does nice static images, but on effects, audio, and just about everything else except raw 3d, the 64 beats it

i was fortunate enough to have a savvy dad who, when faced with the choice between a new spectrum or a used c64 went for the latter
