Nani?!
@Jokerfaic Hey question re: that crisis that spawned in your captial... What's their fleet strength and do you remember what the crisis multiplier you had set was?
I've got an overly high power level modded game with a mod setting me up for a three-way with the warp, tyranids, and necrons... and I've never actually played a game long enough (always died to trade lag) to see one of the crisis factions. I'm wanting to make sure it's not a steamroll in either direction due to my setting the crisis strength multiplier too high/low.
gimme a sec, finishing up a bike ride
No rush at all, I'm at work right now lol
*though half the office didn't get in till 9 for some reason today*
so hard being the only one with work ethic, amirite?
I mean
*I got in at 8:20*
so stones and glass houses
but
Oh and I'd also like a pic of the map too; I seem to recall the 'nids prefer to land somewhere near the edge of the map
but always kinda wanted proof
Ok, so, check it
Crisis that came up was called Prethoryn Scourge, real basic, extragalactic consuming swarm.... so really perfect for modding nids in, tbh
and yes, they land in a rim system
which just so happens to fit the description of my fucking capital
and iirc strength was either 1.0x or 0.5x
so, with two fleets averaging around 50,000, just beat them by skin of teeth
but by nature of it being a crisis faction, their very appearance completely disabled everything in the system, including the big ass shipyard
and while attempting to duct tape my fleets back together, main invasion force came in and just fucked me
I'll see about a screenshot
So combined power of like 190k?
If you go to make a new game the crisis strength multiplier should remember what you last set it it
nono, MY fleets were around 50,000 each
Oh
so it was at like 90k
but omnomnoms ignore shields
=P
(if I were to guess a part of why they rolled you)
but main force were triple-clusters of 30,000, so that estimate is slightl;y more valid
You wouldn't happen to have any Fallen Empire guard fleets you could take a quick gander at the rated power level of, would you?
There's a boost to crisis power for making NSC less an instant win button, I'm trying to gauge the multiplier they gave them.
nope, no fallen or marauders in this match
Aight
Wait, thought you said there was an L-Cluster
Also yeah Prethoryn Scourge is basically Tyranids.
Extradimensional Invasion is basically a warp/chaos invasion.
And the Contingency.... they're really more ME's Reapers than the Necrons, but the Reapers come from outside of the galaxy, while the Necrons just kinda took a nap in it like the Contingency did. And since the other two have WH40K parallels I just kinda stuck with the theme.
