@Wizard_of_The_West As a snake owner I understand perfectly, they won't intentionally bite you but accidents will happen around food.

@killerqwerty What I find funny about fish is they recognize that something is there to feed them, and being fish they are skiddish, but lose that fear completely due to the routine as they swim right back to eat.

@Wizard_of_The_West yea, if you want tame snakes you have to handle snakes regularly for the same reason. if you don't they get used to having the only reason you're there being to feed them and get very strikey

I wanted snakes, but then I wanted something more active so I got fish instead.

I would recommend monitors, they're pretty active and some species are quite intelligent, but because of that they're also a fair bit more work.
