that is another benefit

2019-09-06 18:37:06 UTC

Nope, they can't. @Hopix

2019-09-06 18:37:10 UTC

Can't VETO our own shit.

2019-09-06 18:37:14 UTC

Just read Article 50

2019-09-06 18:37:50 UTC

lol

2019-09-06 18:37:57 UTC

Does the UK have any kind of emergency power procedure that Boris could use to overrule Parliament?

2019-09-06 18:38:02 UTC

Nope

2019-09-06 18:38:06 UTC

Well, yes.

2019-09-06 18:38:13 UTC

But there's no 'emergency'

2019-09-06 18:38:30 UTC

I guess the Queen not giving it ascent would count

2019-09-06 18:38:32 UTC

Well that's a matter of perspective

2019-09-06 18:38:52 UTC

Something that must be agreed upon by parliament @The Electric Lizard

2019-09-06 18:38:59 UTC

Nope it wouldn't @Hopix

2019-09-06 18:40:33 UTC

I still think No Deal is the most likely scenario, According to polls the Conservatives would still do well even if an election occurred after October 31st and they would do even better if they made a pact with the BXP and if the Conservatives get a majority they can just repeal the bill and leave without a deal

2019-09-06 18:42:29 UTC

No deal is simply the default option

2019-09-06 18:42:51 UTC

There's not going to be a general election until after the extension has been granted @The Electric Lizard

2019-09-06 18:42:57 UTC

So it's irrelevant

2019-09-06 18:43:06 UTC

They *MIGHT* be able to no deal at the end of January

2019-09-06 18:43:15 UTC

That's what i am saying

2019-09-06 18:43:16 UTC

Depending on what parliament looks like

2019-09-06 18:43:45 UTC

The Conservatives will likely call a GE if can't pull a masterstroke and take us out by October 31st

2019-09-06 18:43:51 UTC

By then the bill would have passed

2019-09-06 18:43:56 UTC

So Labour would support it

2019-09-06 18:44:06 UTC

The conservatives can't just 'call' a general election

2019-09-06 18:44:09 UTC

Parliament must allow it.

2019-09-06 18:44:25 UTC

If the Conservatives and Labour support it, it would get through

2019-09-06 18:44:32 UTC

Labour don't support it.

2019-09-06 18:44:49 UTC

After the bill has passed they have said they would support it

2019-09-06 18:45:12 UTC

And then we'll have an extension until January <:pot_of_kek:544849795433496586>

2019-09-06 18:45:13 UTC

Corbyn said it himself

2019-09-06 18:45:24 UTC

We can't get out until January.

2019-09-06 18:46:00 UTC

Once the GE is called if the Conservatives get a majority which they likely will if they make a pact with the BXP they could gain a majority which they could then use to repeal the bill

2019-09-06 18:46:17 UTC

But that doesn't matter, since we would already have an extension from the EU...

2019-09-06 18:46:26 UTC

Only until January

2019-09-06 18:46:36 UTC

So we would leave with No Deal by January

2019-09-06 18:46:43 UTC

Yes

2019-09-06 18:47:30 UTC

That was my point, Even with all that has happened No Deal is still very likely

2019-09-06 18:47:42 UTC

Yeah sorry

2019-09-06 18:47:45 UTC

and maybe the EU will not even grant an extension

2019-09-06 18:47:46 UTC

I kinda glazed over
