power is 'on demand'
it doesn't just sit on the grid until u use it
Yeah, it is on demand.
You adjust the power output accordingly.
<:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>
who adjusts output?
It's not like you build a power plant and just run it on 100% all the fucking time.

what timeline is this
according to who's demand?
my customers?
or your customers?
@Napoleon Lee Scott watch your profanity
The power company should be monitoring their own lines, looking at how much electricity their customers are consuming, and then turning up or down the production at their power plants in accordance with the demands of their own electric grid.
that isn't the way a grid works
If they're not producing enough power for their grid, then they need to buy it from a rival company.
@wacka this is some babylon bee shit
if they wanted to do so, they would throw a TON of power AWAY
Not for the whole nation, no, but for a neighborhood or a small town absolutely.
remember when the KKK used to go round saying sht like "I dont care if your black or not"
"if they wanted to do so, they would throw a TON of power AWAY"
You don't have to run your power plant at 100% all the fucking time.
because the moment everyone decided to turn on the ac units, their grid would go offline due to lack of capacity
u DO!
u cannot STORE power
it is 'on demand'
If your power plant is not fucking retarded, then you should be able to turn up or down the generation in accordance with what your customers are pulling.
then all that capacity is wasted
this is the same concept of insurance of any sort
you don't know when you will need it
neither does anyone else
Then produce minimum power levels and buy the rest from other companies.
No capacity wastage, and you buy anything you're running short on from someone else.
so a centralized 'bank' is established allowing a constant suppply with varying load
dayum euro is dropping massively against the £
down 200pips this week so far
