You see, there are a few possibilities.
Possibility 1)
When Scrooge says he’s a pony, he’s speaking symbolically. Like the concept of “the pony” that “he is”, he is saying that he channels the aspect of “the pony”. Not unlike some native Americans and the concept of a “spirit animal”
Possibility 2)
When Scrooge says he’s a pony, he is speaking playfully. Like being “a pony” is part of a game that he, for whatever reason, not only insists on playing incessantly, he insists that everyone he interacts with, *also* play the “Scrooge is a pony” game.
Possibility 3)
When he says he’s a pony, he is a trolling you.
Possibility 4)
When he says he’s a pony, he does does so because he genuinely believes he is a pony. He is suffering from severe psychotic delusion. Depending on how far gone he is, when he looks at his hands, he may even see hooves. This is truly crazy pants town.
