really fucking like it tbh albeit i think it is running out of content for me now taht ive played most of the classes

The only good age of empires was 2.
The only good age of wonders was 1.

i like they solved the issue with having too many armies on the map with making army flanking mechanics

and so didnt like it (was young)

None of that wizard tower bullshit from aow2.
Compared to HoMM, aow1 is a lot more warlords-esque.

Fewer units, quality over quantity.
Heroes that actually matter, level up and get great abilities.

disciples 2 was interesting mostly with the setting being edgy af

im only now growing somewhat comfortable with this low quantity approach haha

I never played disciples 2, it looks very HOMM

i used to hate it in disciples tbh

so disciples plays like HOMM a lot but it does have different mechanics

The combat map is hex grid, but *much* bigger.

i recall

i was blown away

ye in disciples you have two armies stood opposite of each other performing attack move or defense move

so you have different classes and 6 slots, your leader cant hire all 6 slots at first, needs to level up
