Still possible

2019-11-20 13:26:09 UTC

Hence not inherently bad

2019-11-20 13:26:34 UTC

But ideally avoided. Else we risk pushing up costs and getting less for our money

2019-11-20 13:26:46 UTC

But, something which would be good

2019-11-20 13:26:54 UTC

It's suited to stand-alone bulk work that can be contracted out

2019-11-20 13:27:00 UTC

Like testing

2019-11-20 13:27:01 UTC

Is allowing the NHS to do similar contracts that the military do

2019-11-20 13:27:13 UTC

Thus getting the benefits of both the private and public sector

2019-11-20 13:27:23 UTC

While still keeping costs relatively lower

2019-11-20 13:28:14 UTC

Either way, the NHS is hamstrung by unions and lack of staff. You could significantly improve the viability just by filling the roles

2019-11-20 13:28:39 UTC

Which comes from a lack of funding

2019-11-20 13:28:44 UTC

It needs more money. Simple as.

2019-11-20 13:29:58 UTC

Its hamstrung by people misusing it as well. Stop going to the GP because you have a headache.

2019-11-20 13:31:23 UTC

More money and more home grown bodies into it we need to promote the NHS to people born here for job with better wages, benefits and pensions, the NHS is like an onion the more we peel back the more issues pop up and tbh we need leaders to fix it not corporate prostitutes or career politicians

2019-11-20 13:36:00 UTC

You can improve funding by moving social care into the NHS - improperly cared-for elderly/vulnerable and the mentally ill are a huge drain on hospitals

2019-11-20 13:36:13 UTC

They're also an impossible drain on councils who currently have to try funding it

2019-11-20 13:36:31 UTC

Move social care into the NHS alongside it's funding, and sort out the training places, and most of the other problems will resolve themselves

2019-11-20 13:36:58 UTC

Residential care should be free for all who need it, with an equivalent amount avaiable as a subsidy if someone wants to go private

2019-11-20 13:37:56 UTC

I would agree with the social care side the lack of community nurses, occupational therapists and so on is beyond ridiculous.

2019-11-20 13:38:46 UTC

The amount of hospital beds and A+E time taken up by elderly/vulnerable people because social care is shit is staggering

2019-11-20 13:39:57 UTC

Its the same negligence, incompetence and mismanagement of the elected that has decimated the communities over the UK, a country that prided itself of people front and centre that had working communities and towns and flourishing cities has now became a dog eat dog waste land with little industries left and the ones we do are severely underfunded and failing.

looks like grenades being used in france now as well as sweden

2019-11-20 13:46:46 UTC

Not surprised really the system is crashing the structures are breaking and it needs a reboot possibly forced but looking at it i think the way things are shaping up in the next decade tops a totalitarian communist reform of Europe binding everyone together will be enforced.

2019-11-20 13:48:15 UTC

Not what i want in any way shape or form but sadly i see them enforcing it.

2019-11-20 13:48:19 UTC

Not convinced it will be communist in the form that people recognise

2019-11-20 13:48:24 UTC

More likely to be a fascist state

2019-11-20 13:48:29 UTC

Corporatist autocracy

2019-11-20 13:48:44 UTC

>The GLI-F4 instant tear gas grenade is an explosive tear gas grenade, manufactured by the company Alsetex.

2019-11-20 13:48:59 UTC

@wacka Why is france using explosive shit against protestors

2019-11-20 13:49:15 UTC

Because the protestors are evil far-right terrorists, Loremaster

2019-11-20 13:49:19 UTC

Ah yes

2019-11-20 13:49:21 UTC

the Socialists

2019-11-20 13:49:46 UTC

Would be the same in many ways surely then ? @Eccles

2019-11-20 13:51:22 UTC

wheres that list...

2019-11-20 13:51:40 UTC

of headlines over the decades showing the same old "NHS at crisis point"

2019-11-20 13:51:50 UTC

since about the 50's

2019-11-20 13:53:45 UTC

its still he best performing health service in the world

2019-11-20 13:59:18 UTC

I would like to see them myself my wife was advised from the lecturers at University yo either go abroad to work or look at a different role within the NHS because of underfunding or lack of demand despite the cry out for help for more bodies across all fronts.

She changed her mind from midwifery to child nursing which she end up quitting in 3rd year for reasons im not sure would be appropriate in here if im honest.
