Has anyone tried the Carnivore diet aka Zero-Carb? I'm on day 6, and my new years resolution is to let go 150lbs of weight, so I can stop dragging feet all day and be tired all the time and maybe I can start living life again. I got my information from the film documentary 'CarbLoaded: A culture dying to eat,' on YouTube, plus from Dr. Shawn Baker from meatheals.com
"Fad" diets like the Carnivore diet or "half carbs" or "all carbs" are generally a sign you're trying to be suckered by someone. You don't need a specific combination of your nutrients, you just need a healthy diet that fulfills all your nutrition requirements and doesn't have such a calorie excess that you continue gaining fat while exercising a moderate amount. Start by eating smaller portion sizes and exercising an hour a day, then move on to a more healthy diet and more exercise.
@Deleted User Yes, I'm aware of the fad diets, but it seems the Carnivore Zero-Carb diet been around for a very long time, it is just recently we been put on the high carb diet loaded with sugars since the 70s thanks to the FDA. Watch the film 'CarbLoaded: A culture dying to eat,' on YouTube.
carnivore diet is good
mainly becasue it forces you not to eat and carbs or sugar
daily reminder that you do not need carbs in your diet
simple carbs i mean, such as chips, bagels, bread, muffins, etc...
bread was invesnted as a cheap way for poor ass farmers and slaves to have something to eat, and didnt spoil as fast as fresh meat or veggies
but these days people are eating a carb heavy diet without much nutrition
the carnivore diet fixes that, and is quite healty, but has some drawbacks
mainly people only eat one thing, steak.
which isnt bad, but you need to eat other meats, such as fish and other seafood, and stuff like liver.
And veggies too
Read above
If you only need carbs that are 'whole', that is unprocessed, without anything good being removed, then carbs are generally healthier than any other food group.
As you can see here the more keto your diet is the more diabetic it is, contrary to what their own proponents claim.
These graphs show that at every step of removing animal products from the diet, reduced risk of mortality (dying) and many chronic diseases and negative health indicators occur.
Such as, 55% reduced hypertension (high blood pressure) for vegetarians compared to normal diet and 75% reduced if you cut out dairy and eggs too.
Equating carbs to sugar is a common mistake people make who haven't really looked into understanding the science. The effect an apple has on the body is far different from the effect that sugar = to the carbohydrates present in the apple would have.
thats nonsense @Legitimate [OCE]
Animals were created for us to eat.
there are others who would argue and show you data how a carnivore diet helped them with auto immune issues
we are not deer to eat only plants.
you wanna have a balanced diet.
and reduce sugars + carbs.

Vegans are a part of Green Tyranny
Just like the climate change hoax
@garish yeager yeap, did research, come to found out that veganism is a cult and also they do a lot of cherry picking and lastly, a lot of ex-vegan saying don't go vegan
You don't know what you are talking about. Please, tell me the difference in impact on your body between sucrose and starch. @Lordcommander of the Stockswatch
The amylase in your saliva and small intestines convert the starch into sugars
`Does starch increase blood sugar?
The reason is simple. Starch is one of the largest dietary sources of blood sugar and dangerous after-meal blood glucose spikes. Even if you eat so-called “healthy grains” such as whole wheat and brown rice, these all convert into sugar during digestion.`
`What starch can diabetics eat?
People with diabetes shouldn't eat too many starchy foods, even if they contain fiber, because starch raises your blood glucose and makes you gain weight. Starchy foods, such as bread, pasta, rice and cereal, provide carbohydrate, the body's energy source. Fruit, milk, yogurt and desserts contain carbohydrate as well.`
etc
The main harmful aspect of 'sugar', if you are eating whole foods which don't cause a significant blood sugar spike, is fructose. Starch has 0% fructose, it is only glucose, when it is broken down from starch > maltose > 2x glucose.
As shown here, with the *exact same calories* replacing carbohydrates with fat *increased* the spike in blood sugar.
And it repeats itself at every level
