@Szayel's Pooppion Looks like New England was doomed to begin with.
You know thats awesome, I didn't even make the connection to the puritons and witch trials
@Deleted User it's very interesting how in particularly America, it's very much an easy formula for charismatic cultists like Anne Hutchinson to thrive. They don't create their own religion, they stay within the umbrella of a form of Christianity. Mormons, Jehovah's witnesses, etc
@Deleted User it's also interesting how many people were murdered by Indians yet Liberals act like colonizers were the bad ones
Winthrop was right
Thatโs right
Native Americans easily forget what their people did
Just the Liberals. The Navajo are red pilled.
@cgbet @Szayel's Pooppion And this is why I think that the Northeast is so secular. It was almost ALWAYS this way. The Pilgrims wanted nothing to do with the Church of England and wanted to claim religious freedom.
@cgbet Winthrop was spot on ๐
@Deleted User What do you mean? I can't stand how secular they are but weren't they religious? I really need to catch up on my in depth reading of colonial history.
I used to be secular
I used to believe in god, follow the same principles I do now, yet still claim I was no part of any religion
Yep but that has changed
wait am I still secular since I'm not part of an actual church?
I only watch jesse's
The church is not the house but it is the people.
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Matthew 18:20 KJV
To @Szayel's Pooppion point: many can say they are religious but don't really practice it. Religious freedom in most minds are the ability to study aby religion you want. But most fail to look at it this this way: the freedom to not follow Christ anymore.
What does it mean to practice it then?
The Bible says don't forsake the assembly. So it's good to find a church you will like, serve, & be loyal to. No church is perfect.
@Szayel's Pooppion It means to follow the Scriptures. @cgbet is correct in saying we don't forsake the assembly. I have a brick & mortar church but I enjoy the fellowship on here and when watching Rev. Jesse.
When I hear people talking about "I believe in God, but I don't....." the spirit really isn't in them. @Szayel's Pooppion since you watch Jesse on Sundays, you are participating in church. Fellowship conversations after church are great!
