Try answering that question.

2019-11-05 04:46:00 UTC

No thx, I like sticking to the topic, because I know what I'm talking about, unlike you

2019-11-05 04:46:14 UTC

Answe the fucking question.

2019-11-05 04:46:22 UTC

Fuck my typing.

2019-11-05 04:46:28 UTC

This is a quote from you

2019-11-05 04:46:35 UTC

It fits the definition of agnosticism

2019-11-05 04:46:47 UTC

No it is not.

2019-11-05 04:46:56 UTC

Isn't? Or doesn't?

2019-11-05 04:46:59 UTC

It IS a quote from you

2019-11-05 04:47:15 UTC

You literally said this earlier

The "agnostic atheist" line has the same meaning as the definition of agnosticism

2019-11-05 04:48:12 UTC

It only states it's unknowable. It does not include "It's knowable but I don't believe in god". There's extra stuff added with agnostic atheism compared to only agnosticism.

2019-11-05 04:48:25 UTC

Agnosticism overlaps with atheism and with theism.

2019-11-05 04:48:39 UTC

There are theists who don't claim they can prove god exists.

2019-11-05 04:49:03 UTC

Ah, so now you do admit that agnosticism is outside of atheism, and therefore non-theism is not = atheism?

2019-11-05 04:49:48 UTC

No, only agnostic atheism overlaps with atheism

2019-11-05 04:49:49 UTC

Agnosticism does not

2019-11-05 04:49:58 UTC

Agnosticism does not overlap with atheism

2019-11-05 04:50:22 UTC

So now finally

2019-11-05 04:50:34 UTC

Do you admit that ideas other than atheism and theism exist?

2019-11-05 04:50:37 UTC

i.e. non-theism

2019-11-05 04:50:53 UTC

Your own line of reasoning leads to that conclusion

2019-11-05 05:21:24 UTC

any time somebody describes themselves as agnostic, they're usually functionally atheist.

2019-11-05 05:22:05 UTC

They live atheist and are generally set in their stance, not actually being on the fence and willing to flop over into the theist's lawn.

2019-11-05 05:23:37 UTC

To me, at least, it just seems to be a noncommittal position, one of indifference, or a desire to avoid actually being involved in the conflict of whether or not God exists.

2019-11-05 05:23:51 UTC

Rather, "I just don't care."

2019-11-05 05:38:15 UTC

i call my self a "militant agnostic", and affirmatively declare the position of "unknowable". my attitude is to mock anyone who pretends to "know"
in practice, i end up acting/thinking like an atheist, but search for theistic-ish inspiration.
i simultaneously despise *and* sympathize with both sides.

make of that whatever you will.

2019-11-05 05:43:27 UTC

(p.s., i entered rehab a long time ago as an angry anti-theist ... if that sheds any light)

2019-11-05 05:54:41 UTC

I don't think it's possible to arrive at any theistic inspirations without actually being open to God.

2019-11-05 05:55:23 UTC

It's something akin to a Wiccan thinking that they can glean power or favor or inspiration from just any god[dess] through lip service alone.

2019-11-05 05:56:35 UTC

nah, i don't think that's what i mean
....

2019-11-05 05:56:57 UTC

what the fresh-baked fudge is theistic-ish inspiration

2019-11-05 05:57:36 UTC

i find myself asking a lot of "what if" type questions, and letting my mind just see where it ends up.

2019-11-05 05:57:48 UTC

cuz not knowing shit if fucked.

2019-11-05 05:57:54 UTC

that has nothing to do with theism

2019-11-05 05:58:12 UTC

hence the "-ish"

2019-11-05 05:58:14 UTC

....

2019-11-05 05:58:20 UTC

Nothing is still less than ish
