Different circumstances make for different characters in different shows.
"I'M THE AVATAR AND YOU'VE GOT TO DEAL WITH IT."

HOW would she know Firebending?
She's a member of the WATER tribe
@SPOOKY Phil, Ruler of Heck As I said-different circumstances make for different shows.
WHAT different circumstances?
I mean the story nad generally the worlds of Aang and Korra are very different.
<:WaitWhatArmy:590858815189024778>
I thought it was established that the Avatar had to learn the four elements
the story is only fast-forwarded by like....70 years
that's literally the only change
One is like classical medieval China and the other is more like Industrial revolution Europe.
that's literally what I just said
also
the Fire Nation had Industrial-Age tech
during Aang's time
It's a very different setting.
It's really not
Actually it was.
You could make the case for say...METALbending
but Korra isn't a metalbender
tru
The two shows felt radically different for me thou it was only 1 reincarnation away for the Avatar.
does Korra know lightning-bending?
Not sure.
I know most of you hate Korra but I actually kind of liked it.
>that's because you didn't watch the first series
according to Fandom, Korra didn't https://avatar.fandom.com/wiki/Lightning_generation
@excursion12 (redha, richtginger) I don't think she does lmao
I just accept it was a different story about a different reincarnation of the great Avatar spirit and went along with it.
so how come tech is so advanced?
how come it went from like.....1800s tech to like.....post-2000s tech in like 70-80 years?
increase in use and effectiveness of metal bending and lightning bending would make sense in an industrialized world
and yet Korra does neither

Cause it's not her time yet.
"it's not her time"
