i would say yes - i imagine it's on the individual to be conscious enough to know what is too much and when it's time to get outside, exercise, do meaningful things, etc.
I would agree to that, @Orlando.
I would also add that video games also changes social behavior. However, I would also ask: is that any different from people who surf the internet daily?
for sure it can change social behavior - being from the Nintendo generation, I was raised around video games - but I did have parents that made sure I did other things - which carried into adulthood - and it's not much different than surfing internet daily - however, for folks like myself, I spend a great deal of time on the internet reading albeit news, history, etc. so if anything I'm well-informed
I'm a gamer myself or rather, a past generation gamer. For the ps2-3 & gamecube. I still love the videogames I grew up with but like anything that is being taken too much can become unhealthy
So many great videogames with amazing moral lessons to this day, have influenced the person I have become
same with someone watching tv or movies ALL the time
these are just hobbies
certainly too much can become unheatlhy - even politics - because i studied political communication in grad school in D.C. of all place, and during the presidential elections - i never got away from it - it got to a point where it was too much and the thought of politics made me somewhat anxious and depressed
Oh wow. Yeah I can imagine
There was a time, all through my young years, videogames, books and writing were all I had
exactly - and music
i never get tired of music
Even though people on the outside thought it was unhealthy, it was meant to be for me at that time. And I took so much out of the influential games & books
It never leaves you
Hahah yup
same with that
So I really think it depends how a person is internalizing it too. Like do they play countless games or watch so many movies that they become numbed out and get nothing out of it? Did they learn something from it?
I esp think if they get nothing out of it, and are doing these things as a form of escape then it's to the point it's unhealthy
agreed
I used to watch Ben Shapiro's show on YouTube alot but not much anymore - maybe it's his voice that annoys me - he's not as appealing to me anymore
lol
I still like him but yeah I know what you mean
his voice does start to become irritating...
lol exactly
smart guy nonetheless
True c:
You would think jesses voice would get irritating after awhile but it hasn't happened for me so far
it's too funny, his tone and pronounciations
@Szayel's Pooppion yeah, or even his usual narratives, but it's all funny to me everytime - hola! mama mia good
