one of the bigger problems in the housing market (for new builds) that I noticed when looking around... was that they would build 200 houses or so... and pruposely not quite finish them off... so they say "theres only 2 available and not until next july" ... when you can clearly see 200 houses practically finished

Buying up the housing market works for the person doing it

But it really fucks the rest

The tories in 2015 promised 200,000 new homes

they build the SAME HOUSE

They haven’t built a single one

(my wife is architect so we talk about this a fair bit)

interestingly the tories have built more social homes than labour did

but under labour more private homes were built

i was pitching the idea of making a company that builds new homes that are actually interesting

the info was just released today

rather than mass producing neighbourhoods that look like they're going to become the next council estate
