2019-11-18 17:50:20 UTC

it's supposed to improve the northern economy isn't it?

2019-11-18 17:50:26 UTC

depends on company income

2019-11-18 17:50:37 UTC

but taxes should be raised somewhat

2019-11-18 17:50:38 UTC

I think PEP has just given up

2019-11-18 17:50:53 UTC

cos he knows he's not able to refute

2019-11-18 17:50:55 UTC

anything

2019-11-18 17:50:58 UTC

Yeah @Slen i seen something the other day about oil rich people in the middle east buying properties in London and leaving them empty.

2019-11-18 17:50:59 UTC

@Hopix thats the official line but everyone knows what it will really do

2019-11-18 17:51:02 UTC

I think all residential purchases in London should be restricted to uk citizens.

2019-11-18 17:51:11 UTC

err

2019-11-18 17:51:21 UTC

or a tax on top of the house price

2019-11-18 17:51:21 UTC

I don't follow how it'd ruin it

2019-11-18 17:51:23 UTC

that foreigners

2019-11-18 17:51:29 UTC

have to pay

2019-11-18 17:51:45 UTC

foreign housing tax

2019-11-18 17:51:47 UTC

or smth

2019-11-18 17:51:52 UTC

Kind of hampers the aspect of people being able to be housed, ie homeless

2019-11-18 17:52:01 UTC

pep beaten back by nationalism

2019-11-18 17:52:03 UTC

once again

2019-11-18 17:52:08 UTC

increase corporation and employment taxes in london, reduce them in areas you want to create jobs in, cancel HS2, job done

2019-11-18 17:52:10 UTC

and populism

2019-11-18 17:52:12 UTC

<:hypersmugon:544638648721604608>

2019-11-18 17:52:15 UTC

and individualism

2019-11-18 17:52:18 UTC

the fire rises

2019-11-18 17:52:38 UTC

the nationalisation of the broadband

2019-11-18 17:52:39 UTC

mmm see you gotta rethink that whole individualism thing

2019-11-18 17:52:41 UTC

thats all ill say

2019-11-18 17:52:44 UTC

would be retarded too

2019-11-18 17:52:56 UTC

i had Openreach technicians here today

2019-11-18 17:53:02 UTC

connecting my new line up

2019-11-18 17:53:07 UTC

i asked them their opinions

2019-11-18 17:53:11 UTC

they are pissed

2019-11-18 17:53:30 UTC

nationalising something over 90% of properties already have and already dont pay very much for doesnt seem like a winning argument

2019-11-18 17:53:51 UTC

20bn pounds my ass

2019-11-18 17:53:51 UTC

xd

2019-11-18 17:53:52 UTC

The funny thing is I’m seeing more liberal but socially aware policies coming from the conservatives that are pushing labour ever more radical. Broadband is just a joke. Nationalising the trains sure.

2019-11-18 17:53:58 UTC

xd

2019-11-18 17:53:58 UTC

more like 100+bn

2019-11-18 17:54:04 UTC

and probably more
