The only reason overwatch worked on linux, was from a mass amount of bans, and those bans were reversed after the "Company" noticed it was bans from wine.
So they tweaked their anti-cheat, and boom.
Worked flawlessly.
It's basically companies being assholes cucking linux.
And then make the poor piss excuse that "There's more hackers on linux."
No mate, almost all hacking on games is done on windows.
It'll be more safer on linux, than windows.
So an indie dev found a way to promise he won't go epic exclusive, and that was to make the game h since Epic's store policies will block it.
Dunno if anyone here backed Subverse but this one looks to be a lot more heavy on the game side of things if anyone's interested.

he was banned for being famous, i think a permaban is too much though
i think the logic being using cheats as a super famous e-celeb with an incredibly large and impressionable audience of literal children would start a lot of people trying to cheat like him
