Is hard to pull trigger though. I am rather neurotic
OIC
I'm more prone to making a stupid impulse buy, or else going with the first thing the salesman recommends if it isn't something I've already got my eye on.
My question has more to do with whether I should listen to that guy or not.
I am not really that well versed on intricacies. Have a wide range of info but mile wide inch deep
I don't see why it should be, since the X570s are brand new.
Yeah, I'm the same way.
Sure. It is hard to know. It is very esoteric
I mean, they all come with PCIe 4.0.
You know more than me. I am already out of my depth
AFAIK, no cards use 4.0, they still use 3.0.
My current system, with Windows 10, should in theory run DirectX 12.
Is there a way to get it check and send back if unsure? Unsure how consumer rights are where you are
I got it back in August, so no. It's well past its return date.
There's nothing wrong with the mobo.
And I built it out of parts bought separately.
My PC, that is.
Fairs enough. I mean get new card. Check. Go "Dont really fancy it". Put in box. Send back "Here you go GW here is your money"
Kinda scenario
Kek.
I don't really know much about benchmarks, tbh.
Me neither
Though overall, I know my new system with 4k TV runs infinitely better, faster, smoother than my ten-year-old PC based around a 1st-gen Core i7.
I relied on my bro checking was good PC. I used to build back in the day of pentiums. Lost will to get in deep
Yeah. I built my last PC, as well as this one.
I can put wires in right place and flash a BIOS
I just RTFM.
Seems to work.
Yeah
Not always easy with some of the case connectors for the motherboard.
I have a short attention span 😉
When I get to focusing on something, I have a very deep attention span.
Comes with the territory when you're an aspie.
I go off on tangents focusing on wholly irrelevant details
Kek. Sometimes I do that. But not with really important stuff.
@Goodwood of Dank™ Over twice as fast as a 1060. Just a couple percent shy of the 2070 super. $100 less.

Tis my cross to bear
Hmm.
Thanks, @D Stein. I'll keep it in mind when I get 'round to having the spending cash.
