anyone who doesn't think liberty is paramount is a cuck and a bootlicker

2019-11-09 04:47:22 UTC

that means alt right

2019-11-09 04:47:29 UTC

and boomer conservatives

2019-11-09 04:47:49 UTC

i mean...

2019-11-09 04:48:05 UTC

the left was all about liberty in the 1970s...

2019-11-09 04:48:08 UTC

In the end I blame PC education. These people do not know *how* to be conservative because the only version of it they were taught was the leftist caricature of right ideas. We don't hate poor people we want them to become rich people.

2019-11-09 04:48:15 UTC

and now that level of left is basically centre right

2019-11-09 04:48:44 UTC

the left brought in liberties and freedoms in the 70s

2019-11-09 04:49:07 UTC

and now that sort of freedoms is now what Conservatives are trying to conserve

2019-11-09 04:49:43 UTC

whereas in the 70s, conservatism was to conserve christian fundasmentals

2019-11-09 04:49:55 UTC

shit moved on

2019-11-09 04:50:33 UTC

if you think liberty is boomerish and stupid, go live in Rhoanda or something

2019-11-09 04:50:36 UTC

much more your speed

2019-11-09 04:51:14 UTC

Incorrect. We want to preserve the older liberty of the constitution. Conservative Christian is a fairly new idea up until recently religion in politics was over denomination and there was no Christian identity as a political movement. Like Kennedy was considered scandalous because he was *Catholic*.

2019-11-09 04:51:52 UTC

tbh most of our problems in the us come from the paradigm shift after the 50's

2019-11-09 04:52:14 UTC

bad ideas slipped in under the disguise of a genuinely good cause of liberty

2019-11-09 04:54:34 UTC

That to some degree is true. The liberals, under the principal of freedom, supported the socialists right to have bad ideas. Then they became infused with those bad ideas.

Like there is a difference between saying "You have a right to your belief" and saying "your beliefs are therefore right"

2019-11-09 04:54:59 UTC

@Machinimal marxism in the school system

2019-11-09 04:55:16 UTC

such is the danger of being a free nation

2019-11-09 04:55:31 UTC

but also progressive social and fiscal policy

2019-11-09 04:55:39 UTC

personally i think its manageable and worth it to the alternative

2019-11-09 04:55:48 UTC

history books still say that FDR saved the US from the depression

2019-11-09 04:55:52 UTC

when he only made it worse

2019-11-09 04:56:43 UTC

a lot of people have this idea in their heads that the government should, and is able to, fix almost every problem

2019-11-09 04:57:26 UTC

most on the alt right are basically 1940's progressives

2019-11-09 04:57:39 UTC

but with a racial spin on things

2019-11-09 05:00:11 UTC

The progressives were cancer. FDR likely the worst of them, I mean, when they amend the constitution to make sure that nobody ever becomes what you were......

2019-11-09 05:01:22 UTC

There was no term limit before that. Normal decent Americans just assumed that no president would think he was greater than Washington.

2019-11-09 05:15:35 UTC

@Coolitic When did we make fun of Trad cons? They are the closest to the Dissident Right among general Conservatives.

2019-11-09 05:17:35 UTC

"Conservatism" of TPUSA and Conservative Inc. is a mix of Classical Liberalism and Neoconservatism

2019-11-09 05:18:16 UTC

Whereas the Dissident Right is a mix of Paleoconservatives, Reactionaries, Third Positionists etc.

2019-11-09 05:20:53 UTC

I doubt you even know what NeoCons are. If you did you would recognize that they are closer to the third position than any of those you oppose.

2019-11-09 05:21:22 UTC

They aren't closer to Third Position lmao

2019-11-09 05:22:07 UTC

They are rebranded Trotskyites who favor military intervention and LARP as milquetoast Conservatives for votes

2019-11-09 05:22:22 UTC

McCain would be a good example

2019-11-09 05:22:27 UTC

You say this because 'NeoCon' in your mind is synonomous with 'Republican I do not like'

2019-11-09 05:22:35 UTC

Not really

2019-11-09 05:23:14 UTC

Yes really. The focus on foreign policy is the tell here. NeoCon domestic policy is not far from your own.

2019-11-09 05:24:03 UTC

They sought to bring authoritarianism under the guise of religion. You seek the same under the guise of nationalism. But really it is just a variation on a theme.
