still had a dumb phone capable of fm radio
all the high end phones had the FM controllers purged
most smartphones have an chip inside capable of FM
the regular ones
but the flagships lack it
for whatever idiotic reason
it's such an important feature

you need to actually interface to the hardware directly; need to be able to work with SMD components
The US Snapdragon version have FM radio capable chips. The International Exynos version doesn't have FM radio capable chips.
Note that some US carriers blocks the FM radio functionality in their firmware.
