There's clearly a reason behind that.
there is
the period
@Engineered Eldritch Catgirl I mean a few where, some where really not, most played because I well looking back at it, most forced them too. xD
because women are the ones who give birth so naturally men want to protect them
laregely
Ye. Feeling of power makes em easily too agressive. Wether that is inherent to them or they just dont get taught to temper their agression like men do, i don't know.
A few exceptions to that though @Engineered Eldritch Catgirl
not really
women give birth, men fight to keep pack alive
In my view from a practical exchange it's just fairer. Men did the manual labour, they built the cities, they farmed the crops, they hunted the food, and they died to defend it all. To then *deny* men the power to dictate where the society they were expected to die in the defence of actually *goes* seems a little erroneous to me.
although it has changed a lot now in the modern times
@Mulisa I'd say that's connected to them being physically weaker, so they get the destruction potential of power less
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Patriarchy has been a near cultural universal.
@leavethisbotnet that could also lead to a case of inherent napoleon syndrome that flares up when said power is available?
j-just a hundred years ago... w-women were v-viewed as... as... CHATTLE
The physical power disparity is also why lesbian couples have such a high proportion of domestic violence and gay men so low
I read about that.
because men arn't bitches, hahahahaha
depends, some are
mostly gays tho
I wouldn't say it's napoleon syndrome, as much as it is they simply do not understand it as well
the Milo-esque effeminate types tend to be pretty bitchy IIRC
good thing i'm not gay <:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>
<:Doubt:588038713938804760>
stfu nigga
I know some cool gays. Its the soyboys that are bitches.
And because they don't understand, they're afraid that they'll appear weak and they overcompensate.
I know a bisexual dude
he's pretty cool
does he suck you off loremaster?
he plays D&D and does Theatre
@Engineered Eldritch Catgirl hell nah, he's not feminine
Whereas men _tend to_ know how to subtly show power, without going too far
not a trap? xD
@fvriovs Apparently it also works like that, coming out of the tribal culture again, because in a tribe, men are the ones who manage the outside world and women the ones who manage the inside world. Men are doing the potentially life-threatening hunting and the potentially life-threatening negotiation with other tribes, women are taking care of the fire, of children, of working the things men bring from the hunt into something useable (well, the last part isn't exclusively women, but men do that only while they aren't running around securing the tribe's place in the world).
And from that you evolve governments and it's kinda the same. Apparently even vikings had to bow before the absolute home authority of their wives <:Veemote:501103628883591188>
I've read reports that Saudi women are nearly tyrants in their own home.
