Admittedly, they picked an overly high-end one for the Jap example, but even on the lower end of the style (pic related; the average stats isekai from this season did a culture shock joke and I'm honestly proud of it for doing so) it's drastically higher quality.

Two.... not sure if it's just the compression but the actual animation on that honestly looked kinda iffy
And three.... Yeah there are a decent number of solid looking things that are from the west. DC cartoons were top fucking tier at least for a long while. But the cal arts style is weirdly common considering how trashy/simplistic it is.
