exactly

2018-11-07 14:20:40 UTC

military has computer science type jobs, information security, etc. but you have to do well on the ASVAB to get those jobs

2018-11-07 14:20:41 UTC

Yeah I should visit a recruiter. What branch is best?

2018-11-07 14:20:57 UTC

thats a subjective question

2018-11-07 14:21:06 UTC

there is no best - its what works for you

2018-11-07 14:21:10 UTC

Make appointments with all the branches, and do one appointment every week

2018-11-07 14:21:23 UTC

@cashd13 the fact that you’re still really young & thinking about doing this now & taking the next step in itself is a really good sign. So you’ll be alright <:GWmustaItsJoke:402866424353259541>

2018-11-07 14:21:35 UTC

I heard air Force is great for cyber stuff

2018-11-07 14:21:38 UTC

i was in the Army but its not for everyone - Air Force seems to get the best treatment if you want something less intense

2018-11-07 14:22:03 UTC

@Szayel's Pooppion 😂 nah I'm really behind everyone in my school has already applied to colleges and stuff

2018-11-07 14:22:09 UTC

naval and air force should be great for geospatial stuff, army probably good for all around m.i.

2018-11-07 14:22:20 UTC

agree with @J_G_

2018-11-07 14:22:24 UTC

there's also space force

2018-11-07 14:22:28 UTC

haha

2018-11-07 14:22:30 UTC

You’re not nearly as behind as me

2018-11-07 14:22:31 UTC

the Space Force!

2018-11-07 14:22:45 UTC

I’m 24 & just started my first semester of community

2018-11-07 14:23:15 UTC

I'm not sure if the Marines has intelligence

2018-11-07 14:23:19 UTC

they do

2018-11-07 14:23:20 UTC

😉 old joke

2018-11-07 14:23:27 UTC

@Szayel's Pooppion why did u wait so long ?

2018-11-07 14:23:46 UTC

back in the old days we'd call the marines jar heads

2018-11-07 14:23:50 UTC

not to their face of course

2018-11-07 14:24:04 UTC

Marines eat crayons

2018-11-07 14:24:07 UTC

Because I had issues

2018-11-07 14:24:13 UTC

hahaha

2018-11-07 14:24:13 UTC

To leave it brief

2018-11-07 14:24:18 UTC

Haha maybe I'll be a puddle pirate (coast guard)

2018-11-07 14:24:45 UTC

not a bad idea

2018-11-07 14:24:58 UTC

Coast Guard is a sweet deal and good technical training

2018-11-07 14:25:12 UTC

but you have to study for the ASVAB

2018-11-07 14:25:23 UTC

if you suck at the ASVAB, you wont have much options

2018-11-07 14:25:24 UTC

Well waiting till u got things taken care of rather than moving onto the next step in your life without taking g care of things was prob the right choice

2018-11-07 14:25:54 UTC

That's why God is trolling me now like "oh you wanted to have a break for 5 years?? Nah you ain't having no breaks now you gonna have to work on top of that schooling kiddie " <:LMAOXD:494348231434567698>

2018-11-07 14:25:59 UTC

@Orlando true, but he will be head and shoulders above the rest if the recruiters know he is going from branch to branch checking his options, right?

2018-11-07 14:26:02 UTC

Ik the asvab isn't on a 1-100 scale but I took a practice one and got an 80 is that good?

2018-11-07 14:26:13 UTC

@J_G_ for sure

2018-11-07 14:26:34 UTC

@cashd13 that is good, you want to have at least a 110 on the GT part

2018-11-07 14:27:28 UTC

@cashd13 set em up, and knock em down. i want to hear about all 4 of your meetings with recruiters in one month.

2018-11-07 14:27:34 UTC

GT is General Technical and if you dont get at least a 110 on that, you wont get the best options

2018-11-07 14:28:01 UTC

80 overall is good though
