2018-11-07 14:15:44 UTC

free stuff bad. hard work good.

2018-11-07 14:15:51 UTC

2018-11-07 14:16:03 UTC

Work gives you a sense of accomplishment

2018-11-07 14:16:13 UTC

yes, @cashd13 the GI Bill is a sweet deal

2018-11-07 14:16:16 UTC

you don't want to end up around a bunch of folks who are skating by on free stuff

2018-11-07 14:16:24 UTC

Free college is fine though if I worked hard in the military to get it right ?

2018-11-07 14:16:38 UTC

yes, it's part of a contract so it's not free

2018-11-07 14:16:41 UTC

its ok to have goals

2018-11-07 14:16:57 UTC

you have to earn it through your time and get an honorable discharge

2018-11-07 14:16:57 UTC

That’s a great way of going to college for free

2018-11-07 14:17:00 UTC

but college can really be another trap

2018-11-07 14:17:11 UTC

You put in something for that so it’s technically earned

2018-11-07 14:17:15 UTC

just don't do easy stuff, whatever you do. do hard stuff.

2018-11-07 14:17:48 UTC

As long as I don't get a liberal arts degree I think I'll be good😂

2018-11-07 14:18:08 UTC

yes, major in Business, Information Technology, or something of the sort

2018-11-07 14:18:12 UTC

Yes stay away from that

2018-11-07 14:18:17 UTC

Lmao

2018-11-07 14:18:22 UTC

English degrees

2018-11-07 14:18:33 UTC

🚮

2018-11-07 14:18:36 UTC

If I go to college it will be cyber security or comp sci

2018-11-07 14:18:40 UTC

perfect

2018-11-07 14:18:42 UTC

computer programming and engineering or architecture and carpentry

2018-11-07 14:18:50 UTC

Yeah that’s great

2018-11-07 14:18:53 UTC

Or maybe lesbian underwater dance studies

2018-11-07 14:18:58 UTC

Degrees that are transferable are great

2018-11-07 14:19:01 UTC

@cashd13 do you know any computer languages?

2018-11-07 14:19:04 UTC

That actually have a skill attached to it

2018-11-07 14:19:07 UTC

there should be no IF, you have to go and study beyond a high school degree albeit college or vocational school

2018-11-07 14:19:15 UTC

@J_G_ yeah a couple

2018-11-07 14:19:42 UTC

@cashd13 well then it's a no brainer. maybe there are military jobs relating to the field you can look into

2018-11-07 14:20:03 UTC

exactly

2018-11-07 14:20:40 UTC

military has computer science type jobs, information security, etc. but you have to do well on the ASVAB to get those jobs

2018-11-07 14:20:41 UTC

Yeah I should visit a recruiter. What branch is best?

2018-11-07 14:20:57 UTC

thats a subjective question

2018-11-07 14:21:06 UTC

there is no best - its what works for you

2018-11-07 14:21:10 UTC

Make appointments with all the branches, and do one appointment every week

2018-11-07 14:21:23 UTC

@cashd13 the fact that you’re still really young & thinking about doing this now & taking the next step in itself is a really good sign. So you’ll be alright <:GWmustaItsJoke:402866424353259541>

2018-11-07 14:21:35 UTC

I heard air Force is great for cyber stuff

2018-11-07 14:21:38 UTC

i was in the Army but its not for everyone - Air Force seems to get the best treatment if you want something less intense

2018-11-07 14:22:03 UTC

@Szayel's Pooppion 😂 nah I'm really behind everyone in my school has already applied to colleges and stuff
