some churches may require you to have a seminary degree, many do not

but the thing is

if God calls you to be a pastor, you will find people to shepherd

you will start in your living room, home church

I think it’s more of an accomplishment to gather wisdom through life and be called by God than to study for years and years. The truth is anyone who really wants to can study

Could be, but we are all members of one body, I don't think all scholarship is bad, God has people getting scholarly degrees as well, but those degrees aren't what makes us a pastor

The first church I was led to after becoming a Christian... all the leadership would call each other doctor

it was pretty funny

none of them had doctorate degrees

the pastor and head elders

would call each other Doctor Paul, Doctor Frank, etc

to be funny, and kinda mock the PhD. craze

people will earn some theological PhD. just to publish books and seem more legit
