practices shows you that sensors fail

you have a shitton of redundancy for that reason

nuclear plants are hell when it comes to humidity and other factors that lead to corrosion over time

that means you need to do mainentance, change out valves, replace sensors etc

Am gonna figure out cold fusion but too many awesome games

most of those dont result in a meltdown

most of those result in minor radiation leak

all of those introduce risk and oppurtunities for idiots to fuck up

in part because of the constant need to run inspections
