In Alberta we learned a lot about Canada bad, but I think that when you learn history looking at the bad can be good. How are we supposed to learn how to make good and just decisions. We should know when we did wrong. We should try and teach the glory and honour of our nation, but for schools should have the those who don’t learn from the past are bound to repeat it.

We have hero’s that are unknown to our people like major Leo, and that saddens me greatly but history doesn’t get learnt in 14 years, the world is too vast for all the history to be known in such a short amount of time

2019-09-29 17:35:42 UTC

What I don’t like seeing is the liberal party or the conservative parties stamps in text books

2019-09-29 21:30:06 UTC

The schools that I was in used to teach very objectively, minimal narrative spinning if any

2019-09-29 21:30:46 UTC

Also back in the 90's

2019-09-29 21:31:29 UTC

Political conversations were about as open-minded as they could get, no one was shut down or shamed (I think)

2019-09-29 21:31:41 UTC

But that was in Austria

2019-09-29 22:22:01 UTC

We did learn plenty of positive things about Canada in a sense, just none of it was history. All of the positive things, and I mean all as in like 99%, were firmly in the progressive mold and posed in opposition to Americans 'free healthcare and peacekeeping.' The history was all negative, residential schools, Chinese immigrants, persons case and a million different things about racism.

2019-09-29 22:22:28 UTC

Plus, I was very often the only white kid in a class where we learnt all about all the awful things white people did.

2019-09-29 22:26:15 UTC

Overtly political division was actually a bit less then America though, I grew up hearing about how G.W. Bush was Hitler and all the awful stuff white people have done but, I never really heard much fear mongering about the Conservative Party in particular.

2019-09-29 23:20:18 UTC

Bush = Hitler? Wow, Hitler must've forgotten a lot of his lines

2019-09-30 00:00:26 UTC

Bush's image has been almost totally rehabilitated already

2019-09-30 01:25:04 UTC

Shoutouts to anyone who went to the Dave Rubin Maxime Bernier event.

2019-09-30 01:25:26 UTC

Someone came all the way from Alberta.

Judging people from different times by current SJW white/male hating standards is pointless and and devisive... which is the classic divide conquer and control goverment move..

2019-09-30 12:51:55 UTC

Pps. Im currently wearing 'white face' make-up cause da raven is black

when will trudeau condemn antifa?

2019-09-30 23:49:19 UTC

I wonder

2019-10-01 00:45:52 UTC

when they dont vote for him

2019-10-01 01:00:46 UTC

2019-10-01 01:51:02 UTC

Is it bad that I, a Canadian citizen, obsess over US politics, but couldn't give less of a fuck about the politics of my own nation where I actually have a vote I can use?

2019-10-01 01:51:19 UTC

The answer is yes; yes, it is.

2019-10-01 01:53:41 UTC

I just don't want to double my despair. Politics are miserable, and Canada's doing well enough, I guess. Still, I really should pay a little more attention; I'm kind of a hypocrite if I don't use my vote.

2019-10-01 02:48:56 UTC

Well beside the fact trudeau wants to you d.i.e.
he wants everything to d.i.e.

2019-10-01 02:49:28 UTC

Diveristy inclusion equity (you have to this in hiring and getting government grants now)

2019-10-01 03:08:52 UTC

The Trudeau’s diversity is Canadas strength, let’s force people to eat dairy and grain at unhealthy levels because it lines my pockets. Gude ol John A: CANADA CANADA CANADA Quebec isn’t really Canada CANADA CANADA

2019-10-01 03:16:06 UTC

@Hylia, there is nothing inherently wrong with not voting. Checking out of the electoral system is a valid strategy in some circumstances. A few months ago I was intending on not voting at all (or maybe spoiling my ballot). But, as it stands now I will be voting for the PPC because they are the only party that cares at all about free speech and immigration.

2019-10-01 03:47:15 UTC

It would be cool if our politics were calm and collected like they sounded before all this

2019-10-01 04:27:26 UTC

@RAM II Meh I think that is mythology, I doubt politics was every really particularly 'calm.' At least not democratic politics, that just isn't in the intensives. In the 1800s we had revolutions and civil wars, the first first half of the 1900s we had world wars, in the second half we had assassinations and domestic terrorism. By 'we' I of course mean the west as a whole, not specifically Canada. But, even Canadian politics weren't incredibly civil the smears between J.A. Macdonald and Wilfrid Laurier were particularly notoriously bad.

2019-10-01 14:33:48 UTC

Oh my goodness I had no idea that our prime minister was a light skinned Cuban

2019-10-01 19:11:51 UTC

Does anyone know what channel the debates will be on for Oct 7?

2019-10-01 22:36:54 UTC

My problem with the blackface:
I really dont care about his tendency become a black person. However, how can any other world leader take this mf-er serious?
Progressives, how can you have trudeau 'hold trump accountable' when trump will laugh trudeau's black ass out of the whitehouse?
Trudeau: TRUMP you're a RACIST!
Trump: whatever you say Mr. blackface

How can you seriously think trudeau can be your pope of progressivism when all his opponents will laugh at his black ass?

2019-10-01 22:39:29 UTC

Bernier is the only choice

2019-10-01 22:39:36 UTC

Well, only good choice

2019-10-01 23:31:00 UTC

Could vote commie and then revolt

2019-10-01 23:32:12 UTC

Pretty sure the military would side with their civilians. So more of a take over
