(im completely kidding)

greatest ally

Don't confuse the Exodites in Hollywood, New York, and Europe for the Israelites.

2019-10-01 01:44:24 UTC

They're banking on destroying Israel.

2019-10-01 01:44:47 UTC

Because they'd rather use America as a Socialist Holy Land. At least Israel knows Socialism is a shitty idea, as is Open Borders.

2019-10-01 01:51:21 UTC

I mean it's NY and CA. Barely qualifies as US in the first place. Don't get me started on Yurip.....

2019-10-01 01:57:58 UTC

the west coast can be sawed of San DIgo is the only city that is redemable, of the costal cities on the west anyway

2019-10-01 01:59:03 UTC

Y'know socialism and capitalism are not mutually exclusive, right? Firefighters, police departments, social security, et cetera... these are all socialist elements of our society. They are also essential to society. What the vast majority of socialists want is really not as anathema to capitalistic society as you seem to think.

2019-10-01 01:59:54 UTC

Social democracy, yes. The socialists want socialism, though, which doesn't work.

2019-10-01 02:02:15 UTC

I don't think many people want that at all. No doubt there are some extremists, of course, but even Bernie Sanders is a _Democratic_ Socialist. It's pretty much just "Let's not charge 90 000 dollars per cancer treatment."

2019-10-01 02:03:16 UTC

Sorry I'm typing so slowly; this touchscreen really sucks.

2019-10-01 02:03:23 UTC

Democratic socialism is just socialism with a one-time democracy veneer. That's the difference between it and social democracy—once you strip off the veneer, socialism takes over.

2019-10-01 02:03:40 UTC

It's like a skunk wearing purfume.

2019-10-01 02:04:18 UTC

Hmmm but there is a difference between providing services and taking over markets. Socialized medicine would be a market takeover. on the other hand, some people have private fire fighters and stuff but thats pretty extra.

2019-10-01 02:04:30 UTC

I'm more of a Warren supporter, but I definitely wouldn't categorize Bernie Sanders as a skunk wearing perfume.

2019-10-01 02:05:58 UTC

True, true, but I think we can all agree that the current healthcare system is too capitalistic. People often die from curable diseases under it, simply because medical treatment is too expensive.

2019-10-01 02:07:00 UTC

There is a balance to be struck, but we cannot leave the American healthcare system as profit-over-care as it is. That's what I believe.

2019-10-01 02:07:32 UTC

Warren's proposed foreign policy strategy is fucking inept, though.

2019-10-01 02:07:37 UTC

If anyone who said this kept it to fire fighters and police I may have some faith in 'democratic socialism'. But we know from experience they just want more and more until it is everything. It's not a slippery slope 'fallacy' when Karl Marx is on top of a hill coated with KY holding a toboggan....

2019-10-01 02:08:51 UTC

I highly doubt that things could _ever_ go that far, even if Warren or Bernie wanted it to.

2019-10-01 02:09:34 UTC

I have no doubt Bernie and Warren do want it. So lets nip it in the bud.

2019-10-01 02:10:52 UTC

>Blame Iran for everything ever.
>"What's a South Korea?"
>unconditional aid to Israel.
>unconditional sanctions on venezuela.
>continue paternalism of Africa.

2019-10-01 02:11:36 UTC

According to Council on Foreign Relations.

2019-10-01 02:13:21 UTC

Trump 2020

2019-10-01 02:13:29 UTC

I really love watching the CFR. Like if you wanted to see every clueless college kid grown up holding a convention about their dorm-room jam sessions it would be them.

2019-10-01 02:13:58 UTC

maybe so, but this is more about Warren.

2019-10-01 02:14:22 UTC

Warren is a faux progressive

2019-10-01 02:14:28 UTC

^

2019-10-01 02:14:59 UTC

As for Warren's strategy, I admit that they're not all deus ex machina-style solutions to the world's problems - she's only human - but they're damn good, for the most part. Furthermore, her transparency about her plans for everything alone is a pretty good sign, if you ask me. Many candidates in both parties don't have anything anywhere near as specific on their platform; their plans are much more reminiscent of vague promises by comparison.

2019-10-01 02:16:05 UTC

Warren may be a little overly optimistic here and there, but she is always willing and prepared to explain exactly how she intends to accomplish everything on her agenda.

2019-10-01 02:16:35 UTC

That earns my respect, at the very least.

2019-10-01 02:17:14 UTC

So just ignoring the fact she intends to continue almost everything wrong with current US foreign policy.

2019-10-01 02:17:17 UTC

Only Trump keeps his promises. I expect Warren to go hard corporatist if she wins.

2019-10-01 02:17:38 UTC

I don't think so. I take the opposite tack. Waren is what she appears to be an upper-class WASP so removed from economics and life that she believes the theory crafting that occurs at Harvard. Which is to say she is a commie and has tried to 'make the message palatable' but now the gloves are off.

2019-10-01 02:20:39 UTC

I mean the impeachment, the debates, basically I think the DNC knows they are losing. So they figure it's a 1-100 chance to win. Might as well shoot for everything you really want and ignore making yourself seem reasonable. At worst you lose which is the likely outcome anyway. If you win you can claim a mandate for your madness.

2019-10-01 02:20:43 UTC

*Sigh* I'm a little too tired to respond to the claim made by Wizard, nor the base claim that Warren is a "commie." It feels a little pointless, and I've had a long day.

2019-10-01 02:22:13 UTC

Nor will I engage the persistent and pathological obsession with viewing everyone with a (D) next to their name as Joseph Stalin's disciple.

2019-10-01 02:22:17 UTC

except what the DNC really wants isn't that dissimilar from what the RNC wants, just for a different team

2019-10-01 02:22:34 UTC

Eh, I could believe that last one.

2019-10-01 02:23:27 UTC

There is corruption in both parties, without a doubt. But the extremes to which people take that... I just can't, y'know?
