No nuclear family
No family time
I always found it odd how disjointed western families can be.
Yes I agree there
I think maybe I crave strong inner circles because they were so disjointed in my own life
My mother on the other hand had too strong of a family circle and resented it
Once you reach 16 or 18 many don't care about their family anymore. One of the reasons chinese/koreans are so strong, not only IQ-wise but also through valuing family ties.
In my mom's house when she was young, there was an iron rule from her father
If he said something it was law
Many of us non-westerns still value our grandparents and keep them near us if possible
My mom had huge fights with her parents when she wanted to escape that and planned to move to Austria
Especially parents. To repay them and also they help rear our own kids
And again when she wanted to marry my dad in Vienna
They drove her away
By clinging to her
Yeah of course that's too much
Too strict and you create resentment
Yeah it made my mom a perfect target for commies
But your young generation find being told to do the dishes, cellphone use limited, as "abuse" nowadays lmfao
I tell myself I must be the one to keep her from falling deeper into it
I'm her antidote basically
Good on you. Keep that
Btw she's a very loving mom, don't get me wrong
She's my rock
That's one thing the leftists can never have. Valuing family. They all seem to hate their parents
Yep
Maybe that is the solution to marxism
Then they end up old and bitter and alone
Maybe the value of family bonds is what the conservatives must promote above all other values
They never seem to compromise, which is a backbone to keeping relationships strong
The smallest of slights is an affront to their narcissism
What do you think we can do to put family back into their minds?
Yeah, although i'd recommend less emphasis on it being a "christian" thing
Lacking family values is why the 13 do 50.
Optics. Cause it ain't only christians who value family
Yeah I'm 100% atheist
My dad is Christian
My connection to him has never been stronger, and that even though I used to hate him
Firstly, reintroduce Home Economics and Basic Economics (the valuable skills)
For some reason it's not mandatory in America
