> because *things have got to crazy* and we need to start _re-evaluating any ground_ we have given because they're not reasonable anymore
you said there are a lot of deeply religious people who oppose it. religion is in epic decline here aside from imported
incorrect
because people are not talking about it doesn't mean it is so
this is something established -before- politics got crazy. it's like reopening the debate on the earth being flat because scientists start going loopy
you're telling me if science goes crazy you're not going to want to re-establish their theories?
but my dude, on this base, it's not even the same thing
i'm saying, we need to start bringing more tools to beat them with
pretty much yes if the facts were established by ones who werent crazy
yah, nah bruh, when an institution goes corrupt, every decision is up for debate
you need to establish where the corruption ended
we can do without this ridiculous fight here, we're past that, america hasnt grown out of it yet and look at the drama it causes
you're damn right
do you see them stopping anytime soon tho?
one must consider options incase it doesn't end
if it doesn't stop one must start fighting
rhetorically
politics is politics
fighting about settled issues nobody cares enough to talk about anymore? i'd rather we spent time on the ones that matter
like cost of living, membership of europe, etc
and that perrennial favourite "where the fuck are we going to get all the electricity from?"
> ok, and how do you propose we do that when everyone else is fucking reeing
how does questioning things there is a majority consensus for over decades, help the reeee situation exactly?
if you succeed it just increases the ree
by making them increasingly more insufferable
Stop doing that, wladfa. Just because someone respond to a point doesn't mean yo have to keep repeating it untl they do
theyre stuck in a loop at the moment, the issues almost don't matter at all - parliament is in stalemate with a party unable to act, and several others who only want to talk about how to remove it and install themselves. and thats where we are
@juryrigging that's the first time i reposted for someone to reply to a thing - the other times I was highlighting different parts
@system11 yes, and we can't move on, i'm talking about a situation where we're stuck in a constant loop
we would need to do something to end the loop
if your question is how do we make the politicians sane, short of massive protests and civil disobedience which people just aren't into these days when theyre focused on paying the bills and not rocking the boat, there is nothing we can do until they allow us an election
and pulling something that is a feather in their cap and bitch slapping it might bring them back to the table
i'm not asking a question
i'm proposing a political action by them in order to move forward
I think i was pretty clear about that but I apologise if I wasnt
ok, your suggestion was to re-open a pointless but potentially incendiary debate to get them talking again?
not just to get them talking again, but to bring them back to sanity
as I said, I agree with the current position of the law
but there are still arguments that exist that are valid
i dont see how that will add any sanity, it will just be another thing for them to pointlessly bicker about, even if you had the power to make parties talk about a new subject. which you don't, and they don't want to anyway, because it's all about trying to bring down boris.
