Nuclear in Japan is dead @ShardS
its not really that hard to shut them down
All the reactors have been shutdown
even though its less likely, and less dangerous than most other types of malfunction
ALL.
well, japan shot itself in the foot then
Japan has regressed to fossil fuels
too much public pressure?
the two times they have malfunctioned it was on much older reactors
Yep @Crafty
basicaly people are stupid
@UnScottable this does a good job of going over the reasons for nuclear fear: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mI6IzPCmIW8
these days they are actually pretty reliable
some japs are outright superstitious about nuclear
well tbf Fukushima was a bit of a mess
A reason why they shouldn't vote 😉 @ShardS
fukushima was old
and on a coastline
Well the problem with Japan is, they're always going to have issues like that due to their geography
Yeah i know by i cant blame them for being nervous about it
They're on the boundry of 4 tectonic plates
They will always have massive earthquakes, storms, etc.
So nuclear isn't really a good idea for them
From a safety POV
it actualy is
oi you got a loicense to be worried?
TL:DR rich Californians didn't want poor people ruining the local area so they project feared them.
Also, every bit of lost land is crippling to the Japs
Since they don't have much usable land to start with
Chernobyl was a management fuckup coupled with reactor design.
incidentally something i watched recently

I love ghost towns like that tbh
Reminds me of Fallout
Points frozen in time
South africa sholud return to aphartied and given nuclear weapons, i don't see how this could go wrong
@tea_in_space who's giving south africa nukes?
well why don't we give South africa nukes i mean during the 80s they tried to create a secret nuclear program between them and israel
so why don't the US just give them some i mean what could possibly go wrong
whitie's gotta pay.
