How would you go about tracking down these jammers? Is there any easy way to finding them?
Yup so basically hmmm
there are two types of radars right
Theres whats called Pulse radar and Active Electronically scanned radar
Old pulse based radars are the one you saw in movies and mostly everywhere in the civile sector
they turn
mechanically
AESA adar on the other hands have multiple transmitters if you wanna call them 'mini radars' that allow the thing to scan using their different placements without having to turn the radar antenna
The advantage you get is A you can change frequencies a lot easier now
and you can have multiple frequencies in multiple scan modules (transmitter-receiver)
Story goes far beyond that in how you do it but i'll make it simple and simple and say the usage of Gallium Nitrides in antennas supported the frequency ease of change now
anyway
B youre able to focus at multiple targets
since you dont have a single large dome antenna that can only follow one target and turn mechanically
you can assign every module to focus on a certain target
if for example your radar jammer emmits a different frequency the missile processing section with confirm 'Radar jammer' and will engage the change of frequency
now your jammer has to have something to counter that too
its like a cat and mouse game
i'll get to part 2 in a sec just finish reading
Ok I think I got you, go on.
Alright
Any seeker to hit the target can use 2 ways
or pardon 3 ways
Active
Semi-Active
Passive
Active is the radio-seeker relies on its own generated wave to track and follow the target
Semi-Active is it relies on other radar's reflected wave
Passive is the seeler relies completly on the enemy radar wave

I will provide a picture in a sec to give you a better idea
so uh
about that cathedral fire
@CCP Missile'Threat If you'd like we could take it to dms.
Yeah, Varg did it.
Sure just send me a message i'll be glad to answer anything
Whatever suits you Naval - Air - Space - Ground warfare
Sweet. How do you know all about this stuff?
