agreed
we are
everyone can feel it
even people who dont follow politics
too many contradictions all at once
But this might be a lot more than a socio-political crisis
If we take the environmental issue too
yeah its an existential crisis
to the species
fun time to be alive
Are you familiar with collapsology?
Pablo Servigne
Do you ever think "why did this have to happen in my lifetime"
no
I think that the whole tenants of society are going to break
For a while
It's just been pushed too far in every domain
Agreed
Even non human ones
So i think sometimes, rather than nation states conducting a world war, we might see internalized civil wars in major nation states
Besides you know it's the end when a civilzation knows that its end has come and even worse is welcoming it
yeah there's a death cult type of atmosphere
We had a good long run of it for over 1000 years
to a lot of things
yeah then we accidently industrialized
We need to look at intellectual movements since the 1950s, some revisionist marxist schools and later on postmoderns like Foucault
Putting your own legitimacy into question
It's no longer the humanist western dream marx had
It's more of a suicide
It's inevitable I think
Yeah
I think its 50 50
we might... maybe solve it. But at the very minimum we will see catastrophe
it raises an existential question
Then you see how the postmodernists build themselves in opposition to marx, the last pillar of western philosophy
how does one live in this scenario

Wow this is an interesting discussion
I don't think we should think like all those survivalist scenarios (every man for himself), total anarchy isn't what will happen
Even though we've been hardwired to see it like this through media and art
